When using the file upload feature to insert images into a generated document, the document editor automatically resizes the image to ensure it fits neatly inline with the surrounding text, table, etc.
To ensure that your user’s image appears with the correct dimensions and aspect ratio, we recommend instructing the user to upload an image with the dimensions of 2.2cm (H) x 2.75 (W). In pixels terms, that equates to 830px (H) x 1040px (W). We recommend communicating this to the user within the bot via a message or by using the hint feature.
Any uploaded image, no matter its original size, is resized according to the above dimensions, so it is recommended that the user uploads an image that meets these requirements in order to maintain its original shape and aspect ratio.
However, if your bot generates an internal document and say, for example, the user has not uploaded an image with the above dimensions, you can always manually resize the image in your chosen word processor after the document has been generated to a more suited shape and size.
Alternatively, if your bot generates an external document and includes uploaded images, it should be noted that if the above dimensions are not met, the image may appear slightly different to its original state. For this reason, we recommend communicating the dimension requirements to the user within the bot, or, if possible, generating an internal document that can be amended prior to being distributed to the user.
